This academic year we will be introducing a new feature, “Mentor of the Month”.
Our first Mentor of the Month is Gary Hovsepian. Gary is a Junior at George Washington University majoring in Biology, who will move to the GW Medical School after graduating. He is also the Mentor Manager for the GW Chapter. Gary spent last summer participating in an internship program in Armenia, where his family is originally from.
Gary has been an extremely valuable member of Project Rousseau at George Washington University since he joined our program in Spring 2016. At the moment, Gary has several mentees rather than one individual student. What he finds particularly rewarding is the community service pillar of Project Rousseau: he hopes the students will go on to help others in the same way that they have been helped. Alongside academics, Gary and his mentees enjoy socializing together, going to movie nights, and visiting museums. He hopes to inspire the students as much as they inspire him.
Thank you Gary for all your work with our students in DC!
