Project Rousseau’s Thankful November Series, November 6th: Jean Prendergast

Jean is nothing short of a guardian angel to the entire Project Rousseau community. Jean got us started with weekly community service when we just had three chapters in the Spring of 2011, and we have been following her outstanding example ever since. Jean might be “retired”, but nobody would ever know it. She is tirelessly dedicated to using all of our skills and resources to help those in need. Our commitment to community service stems so much from our appreciation and admiration for everything Jean does.

Jean is the namesake of our annual Jean Prendergast Award for Excellence in Community Service, and deservingly so. Community service is a life-long endeavor, and Jean reminds us everyday that there are so many lives that we can touch by just dedicating our time, energy, and compassion to them. Jean is the ideal role model for our students, and for all of us.
